The Documentary of the 9/11 Commission Report Directed by three-time Emmy award-winning news and film producer Linda Ellman, the film faithfully captures the events of that day and our civilian and government response, whose strengths and weaknesses are outlined in The 9/11 Commission Report. ON NATIVE SOIL On Native Soil: The Documentary of the 9/11 Commission Report, narrated by Kevin Costner and Hilary Swank, includes sit-down interviews with U.S. Senators John McCain, Joe Lieberman and former U.S. Senator and past 9/11 Commissioner Max Cleland. While presenting provocative new details and exclusive interviews, the film focuses on the human side of the largest terrorist assault ever to take place in the United States by examining the treatment of the events that led up to the 9/11 attacks and revealing the efforts by a group of citizens who worked together to ensure that the 9/11 Commission would be convened and information disseminated to the public. As it exposes fatal flaws in the emergency response system that still exist today, ON NATIVE SOIL assembles the most comprehensive collection of visual images associated with 9/11 presented in one film. Official Site. Produced & Directed by Linda Ellman. Narrated by Kevin Costner & Hillary Swank. With Madelenine Albright, Peter Bergen, George W. Bush, Dick Cheney, Max Cleland, Richard Clarke, Bill Clinton, Liz Glick, Lee Hamilton, Joe Lieberman, John McCain, Condoleezza Rice, George Tentet and many more. USA. 2006. Running time: 120 mins. Showtimes: Nightly at 7:00 & 9:20. Additional Saturday & Sunday at (2:00) & 4:30.

State of Fear: The Truth About Terrorism "A cautionary tale for a world involved in a "global war on terror," Pamela Yates, Peter Kinoy and Paco de Onis' film examines the topical question of how an open society can balance demands for security with democracy. Building on the findings of the groundbreaking Peruvian Truth Commission, this must-see documentary examines the terror and intimidation inflicted on Peru's innocent civilians by both the Maoist Shining Path and the Fujimori dictatorship leading to the deaths of almost 70,000 civilians beginning with a succinct and compelling history of 20 years of Peruvian politics. At the same time, the film approaches these sweeping events of history with an invaluable human touch, as we hear the voices of the oppressed testifying to their senseless peril at the hands of both the guerrillas, and, soon after, the government-run death squads.
An epic journey of one nation's encounter with a "war on terror," State of Fear resonates with intended parallels to the current situation in George W. Bush's United States, another country where official corruption has replaced the rule of law; where a possible threat to national security has been manipulated by a thieving cabal in the name of profit; and, where freedoms continue to be sacrificed in order to combat an enemy,

GABRIELLE is Patrice Chereau's stunning adaptation of the short story "The Return" by Joseph Conrad. Recreating turn-of-the-century France with superb attention to detail, Chereau casts an unrelenting gaze on the marital breakdown that overwhelms a middle-aged bourgeois couple, played with chilling precision by Isabelle Huppert and Pascal Greggory. As wealthy Parisian Mr. Hervey (Greggory) descends from a train into the teeming bustle of the city. While on his way home, he reflects on the sturdiness and success of his life and the fortress of security he has built around himself. It is not long before his self-satisfaction is rudely shattered when he discovers a letter from his wife, Gabrielle (Huppert), waiting for him on his sideboard. The contents of the message will crumble that security and plunge him into newfound feelings of vulnerability, abandonment and betrayal. The couple soon finds themselves engaged in a parry-and-thrust of emotions that change mid-sentence and stretch their ability to function and live in the same house. Directed by: Patrice Chereau. Screenplay by: Patrice Chereau and Anne-Louise Trividic , based on the short story “The Return” by Joseph Conrad. Starring: Isabelle Huppert, Pascal Greggory, Thierry Hancisse and Raina Kabaivanska, In French with English subtitles. Running time: 90 mins. Showtimes: Nightly at 7:00 & 8:50. Additional Sat, Sun & Wed mats at (2:30) & 4:45.
