In what must be the best animated food film of all time, Ratatouille takes us inside the kitchen of a famous Parisian restaurant – and inside the head of a young rat who dreams of becoming a chef. Director Brad Bird took the ultimate challenge and interned at the French Laundry for two days while making the film. Thomas Keller himself consulted on the film, and even developed the recipe that challenges the delightfully named food critic, Anton Ego.

If you dream of following your passion in food, farming, art, or anywhere else in your life, don’t miss this one. Who says cartoons are just for kids?

If you’re still hungry for more…we are partnering with 18 Reasons to present a special French Cooking for Kids class after the screening. We only have space for 12 kids (and their parents), so please get your tickets early!

Special thanks to animator Ross Stevenson and Pixar for lending us their gorgeous 35mm print.

Shown with:
Spring, summer, winter, fall, Sarah Klein, 2012 (1:00)

Served with: Ratatouille, of course, by Chef Melissa Perello of Frances.
