the history of his friends and neighbors in San Francisco.
Attendees will be invited to sit on Santa Claus' lap after the screenings and enjoy drinks with us at the Tom and Jerry Christmas Tree House.
All ticket orders and sales are being handled through the Roxie Theater. We have only 150 tickets available for the screenings as indicated below and we want to include everyone, friends and extended families.
Tickets are $15 for all three films.

35¢ and a Dream - The Tale of Cliff’s Variety • 2011
Since 1936 Cliffs Variety has sold an array of goods from magazines, cigars, sewing notions, greeting cards, toys and candy. Growing from generation to generation, changing its location and products, Cliff’s Variety has become one of the most unique stores in San Francisco. This is the fascinating story of the Asten family and their knowledgeable employees who continue to provide outstanding customer service to the colorful community of the Castro District.
Filmed during its 75th Year Anniversary. Narrated by Martha J Asten and Kevin Burke. Written by Ernie Asten, Martha Asten, Terry Asten Bennett and Mark Wilson. Making Christmas - The View From The Tom and Jerry Christmas Tree • Revised 2011
Go behind the scenes of a San Francisco holiday tradition. A non-profit dedication to the people of San Francisco which delves into the 20+ year tradition of celebrating the holiday spirit through color, decorations, music, and magic, organized every year by Tom Taylor and Jerome Goldstein. The documentary looks at the process which transforms their Dolores Heights home into a Santa's Village, showcasing their 65ft Norfolk Island Pine tree, which stands at the forefront as giant ornaments and stuffed animals gleefully celebrate the holiday spirit. The Tom and Jerry Christmas Tree in Dolores Heights is truly a San Francisco tradition, and the documentary just stands to acknowledge all of the people of San Francisco for their yearly visits, support, and enjoyment of this non-profit tradition and celebration. “Making Christmas” screened with the 35th Frameline Film Festival. 30 min.

SWEET ONION SALAD - San Francisco Poetry, Music, and Other Words. • 2009
Filmed in 2009 during its 6th year anniversary. “Sweet Onion Salad” is a documentary that examines the poetry, music and passion behind the artists who gather weekly on the streets of the Mission District in San Francisco. This event still continues and is now heading towards its tenth year. Appearances by Charlie Getter, Guinevere Q, Miguel Pereira, Julie Indelicato. Soundtrack by M.G.
