A Gialloween classic returns!

When Carol (giallo superstar Florinda Bolkan, Footprints on the Moon, Don’t Torture a Duckling) begins to have feverish, erotic nightmares about her uninhibited neighbor Julia (Anita Strindberg, likewise a Gialloween veteran), we’re immediately tossed into a labyrinth of sex, drugs, and gore-soaked murder. A lightning rod of left-field psychedelia from Italian horror maestro Lucio Fulci (The Beyond, Zombie), this dreamy giallo features a score by Ennio Morricone (The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly, among others) and animatronic props from F/X wizard Carlo Rambaldi (E.T.). Rimbaldi’s effects were so lurid and realistic that he was called to testify in court on Fulci’s behalf, saving the director from a two-year stint in prison on charges of obscenity. Bellissimo!
