Roxie Mixtape

Submissions are OPEN February 27th until April 2nd

The Roxie is calling all Bay Area filmmakers to be a part of our on-going mini-festival, Roxie Mixtape! Roxie Mixtape is a tradition within The Roxie and Bay Area community and focuses on featuring screenings of diverse and engaging short works showcasing talented voices from The Bay.

The Roxie mixtape is for both student and professional filmmakers, as well as anyone else making visual media. All submitted films will be considered for screening on May 20th, in the Big Roxie theater. All genres are welcome, including but not limited to animation, documentary, narrative, experimental, live performance with a film component, music video, and found footage. The submissions will be screened by a committee and, if selected, premiere for the public on May 20th during a night of great local cinema and festivities.

Please note, as our commitment to accessibility expands, this year we are requesting that all films selected for Roxie Mixtape include Open Captions.

Submission Requirements: 

Works no longer than 15 minutes, completed in any year, are eligible

Digital .MOV file with Open Captions

Notification Date: Friday, April 17th
