WE DID IT! Thank you!

In 2024, we set an ambitious goal–to raise $7 million to ensure The Roxie thrives for generations to come. In 2026, after years of dreaming and hard work behind the scenes, and an outpouring of love from our community, we hit–and exceeded!–that goal.

With the crucial funds raised by this capital campaign, we not only purchased our historic cinema, we also funded essential technology upgrades, building maintenance and structural renovations, expanded our programming, deepening community partnerships, and invested in the incredible team that powers it all. None of this would have been possible without your support. Thank you!!

The Roxie is more than just a theater— it’s a place where stories come alive, filmmakers find their audience, and our community gathers to be inspired, entertained, and connected.

Join the Poppy Society

As part of this campaign, we launched a new, special circle of Roxie donors. The Poppy Society celebrates and honors major donors to the Roxie. Named after the Poppy Theater, the original name of the Roxie’s historic home on 16th and Valencia Street, this society connects modern supporters with over 110 years of cinematic history in San Francisco.

Being part of the Poppy Society also comes with all kinds of perks! We’re excited to celebrate this group and build the community in the coming years.
