Dykes, Camera, Action!

Lesbian Visibility Week

Co-Presented by Frameline & The Curve Foundation

Join us for a post-screening conversation with filmmaker, historian, and film participant Jenni Olson and Frameline Executive Director Allegra Madsen!

Lesbians didn’t always get to see themselves on screen, but between Stonewall, the feminist movement, and the experimental cinema of the 1970’s, they built visibility and transformed the social imagination about queerness. Filmmakers Barbara Hammer, Su Friedrich, Rose Troche, Cheryl Dunye, Yoruba Richen, Desiree Akhavan, Vicky Du, Jenni Olson, and film critic B. Ruby Rich, among many others, share moving — and often hilarious — stories from their lives to discuss how they’ve expressed queer identity through film.

Stop by Mother and show your ticket for $1 off of drinks the day of the screening!
