Green FF: Soylent Green 50th Anniversary Screening

Set in the dystopian future of *checks calendar* 2022, the planet has had its share of cascading economic, social, and environmental catastrophes. The Soylent Corporation, responsible for over half of the world’s food supply, has unveiled its new product, the titular Soylent Green, but something isn’t sitting right with hard-nosed detective Frank Thorn (Charlton Heston). Even if you may or may not know its twists & turns, SOYLENT GREEN remains one of the high points of ‘70s paranoid fiction and speculative science fiction. The future, as they say, is here.
