Roly Poly – Runtime: 35 minutes
The story of a racing car driver who undergoes so many transplants that it can no longer be determined which people have contributed to his make-up.
Rally driver Richard Fox keeps getting involved in terrible accidents but always manages to survive thanks to organs transplanted from people who died in crashes he caused. The situation complicates when he starts acquiring his donors’ personality traits along with their organs.
Hunting Flies – Runtime: 104 minutes
Wlodek is a shy man who’s afraid of his mother as well as his wife. However, upon meeting Irena, his life takes a new turn.
One of the key films of the Polish film renaissance, this satiric comedy explores the seeming world of emancipated women and emasculated men in Communist Poland. A librarian shares his life and home with his domineering wife. He has an affair with a beautiful intellectual, who wears fly-shaped glasses. She tries to become the woman behind the great artist. It’s a film dedicated to the women of Poland, even as it critiques the relations between the sexes.
Screenings of Andrzej Wajda’s films in the USA in 2026 are part of the ‘Wajda 100 Tour – North America’ project, organized by DI Factory with the financial support of the Polish Film Institute.
