Jila Kashef was the founder of the Association for Youth Development & Mentoring (AYDM) in Iran and Keep Children in School (KCIS) in the US. Her life is marked by a slew of challenges that include poverty in childhood, supporting herself and her family in youth, and years spent withstanding cancer.
This film outlines the life and work of Jila over three decades of steadfast effort to improve the educational conditions of children in poverty.
