SF Latino Film Festival: Lovers in the Sky

Cristina and La Bonita are two trans cooks who have worked for decades on the cargo ships that tirelessly sail the rivers of the Peruvian Amazon. Facing personal and societal pressures, the pair are navigating evolving identities: Cristina, to fulfill a promise made to her dead mother and La Bonita, for fear of burning forever in hell.
