Best known for his “audacious and skillful” (SF Chronicle) independent films, SF writer/director JP Allen, and his company Coffee and Language Productions, begin their 25th Anniversary celebration with their 11th feature film, MEMORIZING ALISON. Are you sure you know her? This slow-burn thriller starring Allison Ewing and JP Allen, explores the uncertainty of love and memory as a man questions everything he knows about his partner. This “romantic and mysterious” (SF Mission Local) film also stars Chopper Bernet, Janet Lynn Saunders, Erin Mei-Ling Stuart, and Jon Bowden, story by Cathy Montosa andJP Allen. Filmed in San Francisco, Olema and Point Reyes.

Coffee and Language Productions recent films include Girl in Golden Gate Park, The Filmmaker, Love and Demons, Revisions and Centaur. Allen wrote, produced and acted a lead role in the film Stephanie’s Image starring Academy Award Winner Melissa Leo. His first feature film, Coffee and Language, premiered at the Hamptons International Film Festival where it was nominated for the Golden Starfish Award, Best Screenplay and Best Cinematography.
