With Filmmakers Q&A after the Sunday, August 30th screening!
First Looks, the Roxie’s Oscar-Qualifying Theatrical Release program, supports filmmakers in their Academy Award quest. We put together a unique lineup of shorts (with running times of 40 minutes and under) from any genre (documentary, narrative, and animation) to serve as the film’s Academy qualifying run.

Good Boy

Synopsis: When an unhappy young boy discovers an older man quietly affixing painted eggshells to a disused wall in their neighbourhood, he begins to understand how even the smallest, strangest acts can leave behind something lasting.
The Coral Rescuers

Synopsis: It’s all hands on deck to rescue Florida’s last remaining corals, as a community of scientists and reef guardians unites against climate change and ongoing destruction.
