SF IndieFest: Adulthood

Filmmaker expected for post-screening Q&A!

Made over 15 years, Adulthood is a feature composed of six short films, each chapter following Amy Seimetz and David Nordstrom as they grow older without necessarily growing up.

“Adulthood is a strange piece: six short films designed to play separately while also working together as a feature, made over 15 years about two characters as they break away from each other and go on to lead their own lives. We see the actors Amy Seimetz and David Nordstrom move from their twenties to their forties, and we also watch the technology of low budget cinema evolve as the film plays out. Written by independent filmmakers including James Benning, Lee Anne Schmitt and Theron Patterson, it’s like an anthology film with six short chapters in varying styles, all directed by the same filmmaker and adding up to a single story.” – Director Gary Mairs
