The House With Laughing Windows

Part of Gialloween VI!

Rightfully taking its place amongst the greatest gialli ever made, Pupi Avati’s The House with Laughing Windows offers a uniquely eerie twist on the genre, culminating in an unforgettable ending that remains with you long after the credits have rolled. Art restorer Stefano (Lino Cappolicchio, The Garden of the Finzi-Continis) arrives at an isolated Italian village to repair a fresco depicting Saint Sebastian agonizing’s martyrdom. When villagers start turning up dead, Stefano is forced to consider that the artist has resumed his brutal career, with Stefano as the primary target.
